All my life I have loved and wanted to work with animals. After
graduating from Onsted High School I went off to Oakland
University to study Zoology. I quickly found that was not what
I wanted to do. My next step was to study Veterinary Technology
at Stautzenberger College in Toledo, OH. While attending my
first year at SC I worked at the Animal Emergency Clinic in
Toledo. By my second year I left the emergency clinic and
started working at the Manchester Veterinary Clinic for Drs. Art
& Libby Beaudoin.
After graduating from SC I moved to Manassas,
Virginia to work at yet another Animal Emergency Clinic.
After
6 months in Virginia I knew it was not what I wanted. My mom
also wanted me to come home. I still wanted to work with
animals but I didn’t want to work on them. So, I started
researching Dog Daycare. I soon realized this was what I was
supposed to do. Run my own business, my own Dog Care Facility.
I moved home in October of 2005. We obtained our loan and land
by May of 2006. Started construction in August of 2006 and
opened UNLEASHED and lovin’ it! on January 15, 2007. |

I graduated from Columbia Central High School in 1972. I
married Charles Kelley in 1973. I worked different office
positions until we decided to have children, and I stayed home
to raise my two boys and daughter for the next 6 years.
Since all my kids were in school I decided to become a school
bus driver for the next 14 years. I also was the
President of the Support Staff Union at the school for several
years.
When my daughter graduated from High School, I decided to look
for an office position, and I was hired as an Office
Administrator for a local Real Estate Office. I worked in
the Real Estate field for 7 years, learning a lot about
computers and public relations.
Laurie moved to Virginia for a Vet Tech position in 2005 and while she was living there she
became interested in Dog Day Care. She decided to put together
a business plan and moved back home so that we could start a
business. We decided that Jackson was the best place to open
this type of business and so here we are. |

I was born and raised in Lenawee County, MI. After
graduating from Onsted High School I worked at Tecumseh Products
and construction at MIS. In 1969 I was drafted into the Army.
When I left the army I began working at Ford Motor Co. in Saline
until I retired in 2001. Having been an avid outdoorsman all my
life, particularly raising and training coonhounds, I had
experience with handing dogs. So, when we decided to open
UNLEASHED, I knew we could handle it. The rest, as they say, is
history. |

I am a Jackson Native. I went to Western High School and
received my GED from Tomlinson High School. I have 3 children
-Allen, Sydney and Charlie.
I have always been a huge animal lover. I worked at Arbor
Hills Vet Clinic with Dr. Schrauben for 2 years, Jackson County
Animal Control, the Cascades Humane Society and with show dogs.
I love my job at UNLEASHED and working here is the best
career move I have made. UNLEASHED provides the best
environment for the dogs and I am so happy to be part of it.
Most times I would rather be at work than at home, not many
people can say that. |

Tipper I was born in Michigan
but moved to North Carolina when I was 2 years old. I will
always consider myself a southern girl even though my home has
been here in Michigan since I was 16.
I graduated from James Madison High School with Honors
in 1999. I attended JACC to pursue my health care training
a little while after that. My employment has been diverse
with responsibilities that include caring for the elderly,
caring for animals and clerical work. My life as taken me
in multiple directions since then and I wouldn't change any of
it for the world.
I am engaged to Bruce Craig and I am the proud mother of one son, Kendal, whom I should
say has kept me on my toes since the say he was born!
I have been with UNLEASHED and lovin' it! since April
of 2008 and I am proud to be a part of everything that goes on
here. I am proud of my contributions to UNLEASHED which
have helped to make it a wonderful environment for that special
member of your family. |

A native of Michigan Center, I graduated from Michigan Center
High School in 1987. After having my son, Shane, I
attended college from 1994-1996 and received a certificate in
criminal justice.
My love for dogs inspired me to rescue my first Great
Dane at the age of twelve and two more into my adult life.
I have now adopted a beautiful Husky Mix named Sophie and will
continue my love of dog rescue and adoption as long as I can.
It is a blessing to be able to be surrounded by all of the
wonderful dogs at UNLEASHED and lovin' it! |

I was
born in Nurnberg, Germany because my father was stationed with
the military. When I was around a year old we moved back to the
states, continuing to move with the military until settling in
Michigan.
Graduating in 2003 from Athens High School was the
first big goal I accomplished in my life. Between working
customer service at Walmart, automotive factories, and one other
boarding kennel before working here at UNLEASHED and Lovin' It!
A year and a half later I am convinced that this line of work is
my passion and something I’m going to keep doing for a long
time.
Currently I do not have any pets at home of my own, but
being able to work with and take care of the dogs here while
there parents are busy with life, is just a very satisfying job.
In the near future I do plan to be the proud owner of a Chinese
Crested that I will bring here to socialize with all the other
puppies.

I've always had a passion for animals. I always drove my
family crazy bringing all kinds of animals home. My
interest sparked when my grandparents started breeding German
Shepherds. Where I come from is is basically mandatory to
have a dog.
I was born and raised in Kenosha, WI. I graduated
from Indian Trail Academy in 2007, basing my studies on Biology.
I have always seen myself working with animals and my goal is to
become a Marine Biologist.
I absolutely love working at UNLEASHED and lovin' it!
Seeing & meeting all the different breeds of dogs and learning
their personalities is one of my favorite things. |

animals in some way or another. I decided to attend
Oakland Early College so I could study Veterinary Medicine &
graduate High School. I graduated in May of 2011.
After graduation I decided to attend Baker College of Jackson to
study to become a Veterinary Technician. Not long after I
found a job here at UNLEASHED and I love it! |
